Módulo 2: 4: Humour

Reading:

Listening:

Grammar:

Two cannibals were eating a clown. One says to the other, "Does this taste funny to you?
You never tell me that you hate me any more
What did zero say to eight? Nice belt.
What did the man say when he walked into a bar? Ouch!
My friend said he knew a man with a wooden leg named Smith. So I asked him "What was the name of his other leg?"

Experience:

I'm a person who likes jokes with words and double meanings. And the children, innocent jokes too. I don't like vulgar things and they don't absolutely make me laugh. I can't stand jokes that put down women or races.

I search english short jokes in internet and I don't understand most of them. Here is a joke that made me laugh... - Doctor! I have a serious problem, I can never remember what I just said. - When did you first notice this problem? - What problem?

I have tried to understand the joke of "six is afraid of seven" of Alfonsa Jimenez but I have not been able to understand it. Nevertheless I liked so much the jokes about ¡plato! of Beatriz Martín and the other of Carlos Salgado about the man in the interview for a work.

In the TV I like watching José Mota's program. I think his sense of humour teaches values and correct ways of behaving. He satirizes some behaviors that sometimes people have and when you see them ridiculed on the screen, you can learn about it.

I usually receive tango lessons. During the class, you can hear surprising sentences from the dancer couples, for example "You don't hang me well /no me cuelgas bien", "I don't feel you/ no te siento", "But you don't comand me / es que no me mandas", Pepe makes it to me better / Pepe me lo hace mejor", "put it well /métela bien (enganches en las piernas)" and others, that out of context made sound very funny.
